Lords of The Fallen Tower of Penance Walkthrough

1. Confronting the Boss - Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho:

As you step onto the bridge leading to the Tower of Penance from the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers, you'll face the boss Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho. This boss mainly uses spear attacks, and the challenge is the narrow bridge. The boss can also use a poison breath attack that covers a large area. Try to lure the boss away from the poison, and you should defeat it.

2. Rewards and Further Exploration:

After defeating the boss, you'll receive Carrion Knight Staff, Carrion Knight Skirt, and a Vestige Seed. There's an Umbral Flowerbed further up the bridge. When you're ready to move on, you'll find the tower's door locked. You can circle around the left or right side of the tower. On the right, you'll find the Braided Ring, and on the left, there's a ladder leading down.

3. Descending the Tower:

Keep circling around the tower, and you'll come across an elevator. Before taking it, grab the Map of the Tower of Penance opposite the elevator. Heading up the ladder, you can enter the tower through an upper archway. Inside, you'll find another Umbral Flowerbed.

Past it, there are wooden platforms. Follow the path, lower a platform, and enter a jail cell to find Jeffrey's Dagger. Continue, go up the stairs, and jump back to the wooden platforms. Follow it back to the ladder, where you'll find an Emergence Effigy to return to the Axiom.

4. Challenges Below:

Head down the ladder and watch out for the Ardent Penitent who bursts through wooden planks. You can jump down to a lower platform with a chest containing Deralium Chunk within the jail cell. Afterward, find two Large Deralium Shards and defeat the Remnants and Umbral Eggs in the area.

Climb back up to where you fought the Ardent Penitent. At the end of the walkway, you'll find the Umbral platform you pulled earlier. Look down to spot a wooden platform where you can safely fall. Inside a jail cell, you'll find a chest with a Rebirth Chrysalis. Jump directly down to a stone platform.

5. Looting and Fighting:

On the stone platform, destroy wooden planks to reveal a Stigma, which you can soulflay for two Umbral Scouring and the Perception Wisp. Drop down onto grates and defeat enemies. You can find the Rune Tablet and Infernal Guardian Spell in this area.

A door leads back to the bridge connecting the tower to the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers. In a small room, there's an Umbral Flowerbed to set a checkpoint. After looting, descend a ladder in the inner circle of the room, and be cautious of the Ardent Penitent.

6. Final Floors:

You'll reach a level with grate flooring. In a jail cell at the opposite side, you can pick up the Bramble Ring. An Emergence Effigy can be found nearby. Head outside and enter the Umbral to soulflay a Stigma. To your left, there's a ladder.

Take it, and another ladder to a large area with Remnants and a Womb of Despair. Soulflay the Umbral Belly after defeating enemies, and you can obtain a Saintly Quintessence. Return inside the tower, go down the stairs, and about halfway, you'll find an Umbral Flowerbed. Move forward to face the boss Tancred, Master of Castigations, and Reinhold the Immured.

7. Boss Battle - Tancred, Master of Castigations & Reinhold the Immured:

In the first phase, face Tancred, who uses a staff and a shield. Stay close to him to avoid his long-ranged attacks. After defeating him, the second phase begins with Reinhold, a Rhogan demon with a different moveset. Stay close to his hind legs to avoid his front-facing attacks.

8. Rewards and Moving Forward:

After both phases are defeated, you'll get Tancred's Key, a Vestige Seed, and Umbral Scouring. Enter the Umbral and soulflay the boss' Stigma to receive Umbral Scouring and the Remembrance of Tancred and Reinhold.

9. Unlocking the Tower Door:

Unlock the door with Tancred's Key and take the elevator up.

Lords of the Fallen 2 Gameplay

Lords of the Fallen is an action-packed role-playing video game that immerses you in a third-person perspective. Just like its predecessor, it offers a choice between melee weapons and magic for taking on adversaries, drawing inspiration from the challenging combat found in Soulslike games.

You can even team up with a friend to tackle the game's campaign cooperatively and engage in player-versus-player multiplayer battles for some extra excitement. As you kick off your adventure, you'll have the chance to craft your own unique character, selecting from a variety of character classes.

The game world is expansive, considerably larger than the 2014 version, and it's particularly intriguing because it blends two realms: Axiom, the realm of the living, and Umbral, the realm of the dead, which you can traverse using a mystical lantern. Despite sharing the same space, accessibility varies between these two worlds, adding a layer of depth and strategy.

When your character meets their demise, they'll find themselves in Umbral, needing to return to Axiom to recover their lost experience points. But if you perish in Umbral, you'll restart at your last savepoint and lose any unspent experience points. Savepoints are relatively rare in each region, but you have the option to craft your own using materials gathered from Umbral creatures, making your choices and tactics pivotal in this captivating interconnected game world.
