Ghosts, a popular American television sitcom, is an adaptation of the British series of the same name, created by Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond for the BBC. The American version was adapted by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman for CBS, and they currently serve as the showrunners.
The series made its debut on October 7, 2021, and received a full-season pickup in the same month. In January 2022, it was renewed for a second season, which premiered on September 29, 2022. The show was then renewed for a third season in January 2023.
On November 29, 2019, CBS announced that they were developing an adaptation of the BBC One series Ghosts. The pilot was picked up by CBS Studios on February 4, 2020, and co-produced with BBC Studios and Lionsgate Television.
The adaptation was then picked up for a full series on March 31, 2021. It was originally slated to premiere on October 7, 2021, as a Thursday-night entry but was changed to back-to-back episodes on September 23, 2021. On October 21, 2021, CBS picked up the series for a full season.
Unfortunately, production was temporarily halted on December 17, 2021, due to a positive case of COVID-19 on the set of the series. Despite the setback, the show continued to air, and on January 24, 2022, CBS renewed it for a second season, which aired in September 2022. Interestingly, the BBC aired Ghosts in the United Kingdom under the name "Ghosts US" on BBC Three & BBC iPlayer on November 20, 2022. However, fans are excited to know the end of Ghosts season 2. Ghosts Season 2 Ending Explained
The second season of the show "Ghosts" has an ending that reveals the identity of the killer of Alberta and leads to a significant conflict between her and Hetty. Alberta, Sas, Isaac, Thor, and Hetty try to solve the case of Alberta's murder and reach a dead end.
Hetty reveals that her son Thomas, who was secretly dating Alberta's boyfriend, killed Alberta with poisoned moonshine. After this revelation, Alberta is very upset with Hetty for hiding this truth from her for over a century. Alberta takes the case to Ghost Court, and after hearing both sides, she decides to punish Hetty by banishing her to spend a year alone in the woods on the Woodstone property.
However, after thinking it over, she changes her mind and forgives Hetty on the condition that she gets Hetty's bedroom. In the meantime, Isaac's memoir receives a $20,000 advance, and the other ghosts suggest Sam give up half of the amount to Isaac to buy something he would like and use as a ghost. Isaac decides to buy a new daybed, but Nigel becomes upset because he thinks it shows Isaac is not ready to move forward in their relationship.
Moreover, Isaac proposes to Nigel, and they decide to move in together and use the money to buy a king-sized bed. Lastly, Kelsey, who claims to be the rightful heir to the Woodstone property, shows up and informs Sam and Jay that the house should have rightfully belonged to her. They seek legal advice to determine the truth of the matter.
Ghosts Season 2 Plot
Ghosts is an American television sitcom about a young couple named Samantha and Jay who inherit an old country house and plan to turn it into a bed and breakfast. However, after a mishap, Samantha starts seeing the ghosts living in the home, and they all learn to coexist and help one another out.
At the end of Ghosts season 1, Samantha and Jay are preparing to open their bed and breakfast when they learn about a curse set upon them by Thorfinn, a ghost with whom they have become friends. Despite the risk of her newfound ability to communicate with ghosts, Samantha decides to dismiss the curse. However, as their first guests arrive, the house begins to crumble beneath them.
