Gloria Hunniford, a TV veteran, has revealed that she is now back at work after being transported to A&E by ambulance. Just before Christmas, the Rip Off Britain star discovered she had kidney stones. She had an operation to blast the stones and insert a stent, followed by another three weeks later to remove it. She began to feel ill following the first surgery when kidney stones were removed under general anesthesia.

"The last thing they said before I went to the theatre was: 'When I take this stent out, you are going to feel so much better," she recalled of the second surgery. But the next thing I knew after waking up from anesthesia was a nurse telling me, 'Don't worry, don't panic, but we're going to have to transfer you by ambulance to a different hospital because we can't get your blood pressure up."

Gloria was moved from the hospital in Maidstone, Kent, to a local A&E hospital. "It was like somebody had put a tap in my body and just drained all the energy," she explained.
