Granblue Fantasy Versus Update 2.85 Features
Granblue Fantasy Versus was recently revealed as a new fighting game, surprising fans of the genre, but the original game is still playable today. The Version 2.85 patch notes for Granblue Fantasy Versus have just been made available by Cygames and Arc System Works, outlining everything that has been added in the fighter's final significant update. The main adjustments made by the developers appear to be a wider implementation of the battle system, more follow-up opportunities for the Rush mechanic from GBVS, and improved consistency of jump-in combos. Beyond adjusting Rush, there are undoubtedly some balance adjustments that need to be made for characters like Gran, Katalina, Ladiva, Anre, and Eustace though not as many as a complete balance. The last significant update for Granblue was released on January 23. Later this year, the focus will switch to Rising.

Purpose of Adjustment
The knockback from jump attacks has been reduced,
making close standing attacks harder to whiff when
following up.
We have also strengthened the effect of Rush (normal) oncounter hit. When grounded foes are in a counter hit
state, they will be unable to perform an aerial recovery as
well as being knocked back. This allows for more pressure after they have recovered or gotten up. Finally, we have adjusted the knockback as well as the
duration where aerial recovery cannot be performed after
a Rush (cancel) from certain characters. This allows for
more chances to perform follow-up attacks. For more
