What Is Hearthstone Arena?

The Arena game mode in Hearthstone is a competitive mode where players draft decks to battle against each other. When players enter the arena, they are given a choice of three cards at a time, and they must choose one card to add to their deck. This process is repeated until they have a complete deck of 30 cards. To help players draft the best deck possible, tools like HearthArena have been created. HearthArena auto-detects the cards offered to the player and scores each card to determine which card would be the best pick. It also records the player's picks and adds the chosen cards into a deck tracker, which displays the cards in the player's hand and deck.

During the arena matches, HearthArena's deck tracker will continue to update as the player plays their cards, making it easier for the player to keep track of their deck and make strategic decisions based on their current situation. After completing the arena run, the match results (wins/losses) are automatically saved on the player's profile on the HearthArena website, allowing them to track their progress and improve their arena gameplay in the future.

Hearthstone Arena Card Tier List

S Tier

Let's begin with the S-Tier in the Hearthstone arena tier list. These decks are highly advantageous for players of different play styles and can prevent potential setbacks throughout the game.

Paladin - Tier 3

Although Paladin is ranked in Tier 3, it is still a strong choice for those who prefer an aggressive play style. Paladin decks excel in creating a powerful setup quickly and easily. The current meta still involves Dragon synergies, which work in favor of Paladin. Additionally, low-cost commons like Truesilver Champion also contribute significantly to their success.

A Tier

Moving on to the A-Tier in the Hearthstone arena tier list, while not as strong as S-Tier, these decks can still be quite powerful with experience and skill.

Hunter

Hunter, ranked in Tier 2, is a popular choice due to the value offered by cards like Primordial Explorer. The Hunter deck can perform impressively well with limited resources, similar to Paladin. Additionally, Hunter's strong hero power rewards an aggressive playstyle. However, the lack of late-game features may prevent it from being as strong as the decks in S-Tier, and it may not guarantee a win in tight games.

Druid

Druid, also in Tier 2, is a good choice for players who prioritize consistent performance throughout the game. Although Druid may not have the same burst potential as other aggressive classes, it excels in mana pool collection and pacing.

B Tier

Moving on to the B-Tier in the Hearthstone arena tier list, these classes are still significant in the meta but require some modifications to be most effective. Nonetheless, they remain powerful decks.

Warrior

Warrior, ranked in Tier 3, may initially appear to favor an aggressive playstyle, but skilled Hearthstone players understand that control tactics are its greatest strength. To achieve success, it's best to build a deck that gives your late-game a boost. Pirate decks designed for this purpose can make you unbeatable during the late game.

Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter, on the other hand, is a Tier 2 class and is perfect for an aggressive playing style from the start of the game. Its goal is to quickly overwhelm the enemy before they have a chance to stabilize.

Mage

Ranked in Tier 1 on the Hearthstone arena tier list, Mage is a class that focuses on powerful offensive attacks and various defensive tricks. Although it may not be as strong in offense as other classes, it makes up for it with exceptional utility and match control, allowing it to compete with other offensive classes. The current most effective deck setup for this class is a Highlander deck.

C Tier

Moving on to the C-Tier in the Hearthstone arena tier list, these classes may not be the most impressive, but they can still be effective choices with proper strategy and skill.

Rogue

Rogue, ranked in Tier 1, is a strong pick due to its ability to manage the player's early game effectively. When the match begins, Rogue relies on strong combos and synergies to provide an advantage.

Warlock

In Tier 1 on the Hearthstone arena tier list is the Warlock class, which can be challenging to use. This is particularly true for beginners as it requires significant strategic planning in all matches. The Warlock class is best used to take advantage of its Hero Powers in both slow and fast-paced matches. The ziplock build, also known as zoo warlock, is the most effective deck build for this class. It is an aggressive deck designed to flood the board with weak minions, allowing you to gain control.

D-Tier

On the lower end of the Hearthstone arena tier list are the D-Tier classes, which tend to be the weakest in the current meta. While every class can be successful with sufficient skill, D-Tier classes inherently lag behind the others. Their hero strengths are not as significant, making them less desirable to use.

Shaman

Ranked in Tier 2 is the Shaman, which can be aggressive but lacks rewards after a few turns. Once properly set up, it has significant burst damage, but it tends to struggle when playing against skilled players.

Priest

In Tier 4 is the Priest, which is considered the worst class to play against due to its resurrection mechanics and controlling playstyle. Aside from its healing abilities, this deck struggles with its poor offense and lack of utility to complete matches.

Hearthstone Arena Helper

Hearth Arena is a useful tool for players of Hearthstone who want to draft the best arena deck for their matches. The developers of Hearth Arena have released a new version that is specifically designed for the latest TGT expansion, which provides players with all the necessary data to gather the best and most effective deck for their arena matches. The tool offers various tabs that players can use to improve their deck-building and game strategies. The "Deck coverage" tab allows players to evaluate the reach of their deck and compare different decks, highlighting strengths such as board clears and survivability. The "Synergies" tab helps players decide which combos will fit best for their decks, which can significantly change the outcome of a match.

The "Archetype" tab provides players access to a special algorithm that can help them understand their specific arena deck's game style better, helping them play to the deck's strengths. The "Stats-tracking" tab is a simple stat tracker of a player's progress, allowing them to learn from their own mistakes. Lastly, the "Dynamic card values" tab is another great algorithm that can help players identify and adapt certain cards that will push them forward to another victory. By using these tabs and features, players can optimize their arena deck and have a better chance of success in their matches.
