How to Get the Pickaxe in Sons of the Forest

• Locate the New Cave: Head to the northeast of the island, north of a circular lake and northeast of the snowy mountain area. Look for a hole in the ground among some rocks.
• Navigate the Cave: Descend the long rope inside the cave and follow the path straight ahead. Pass a small waterfall on the left and continue following the running water to the right. Drop down to the lower level of the cave, where you'll find an Air Tank and a Backpack.
• Explore Further: Head left from the Air Tank and Backpack into a small pool of deep water. Dive down and swim through a narrow passageway past skeletons until you reach the other side. Climb the rocks and drop down to a small section below.
• Find the Pickaxe: Destroy the boards blocking the path ahead. Proceed forward, collecting loot and exploring side paths if desired. Eventually, you'll reach a section with Solafite structures. Continue until you find a dead end with electricity, where you can pick up an Artifact.
• Return for the Pickaxe: Go back to where you smashed through the boards and dropped down. Take the path opposite the blocked door and slide down into the water, equipping your Rebreather. Swim forward and then up to find a narrow pathway leading to the Pickaxe stuck in a gleaming Solafite Ore.
• Exit the Cave: To leave the cave, climb the rope to reach another body of water. Jump down, follow the path, and climb up another rope. Head towards the blue light to exit the cave with the Pickaxe in your inventory.
