• At the Woodland Stable, you'll encounter a traveling musical troupe who wants to perform for Great Fairy Tera. However, their cart is broken, and you need to help them fix it. The task involves replacing the wheels with Ultrahand, which should be a straightforward job. To tow the cart, you'll require the Towing Harness Key Item, which you can unlock with 3 Pony Points from any stable. To earn these points, register a wild horse and visit at least two different stables. Once you've unlocked the Towing Harness, customize your horse with it by speaking to the front desk when taking out a horse.
• Position your horse near the cart and drag the cart over to the harness (it's easier than dragging the harness itself since your horse cannot be moved). Then, attach the cart to the harness. Once they are fused together, take the horse and cart up the hillside to reach Great Fairy Tera. By doing this, you'll unlock the first of the four Great Fairies, enabling you to upgrade your armor. Upgrading your armor requires a small sum of rupees and a few ingredients specific to each armor piece.
• Please note that certain armor pieces, such as monster masks or the Archaic Set, cannot be upgraded. If you want to upgrade your armor a second time to unlock set bonuses, you'll need to locate another one of the Great Fair.

Great Fairy Mija

• Located on a sloping mountain north of the Snowfield Stable and far northwest of the Woodland Stable, you'll find the Great Fairy Mija. To coax her out, you need to produce the sound of a horn.
• A musician in the area is trapped in a large hole along the road west of the Tabantha Great Bridge and stable. Assist him by airlifting his wagon out of the hole, and he will rejoin the musical troupe. As a reward, he'll give you some courser bee honey, which you should keep in your inventory.
• Once you have rescued the musician, head back to the Snowfield Stable. There, you'll need to provide a roof for their carriage. Be cautious of bokoblins on horseback who may attack during your journey to the Great Fairy Mija's location.

By completing these tasks, you'll be able to reach the Great Fairy Mija and continue upgrading your armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Great Fairy Cotera

• To unlock the Great Fairy Cotera located by the Dueling Peaks Stable, you must first find the missing drummer named Beetz. He can be discovered in a somewhat hidden alcove to the right as you ascend the path towards Kakariko Village. This alcove is in the same location where Hestu's Maracas were found in Breath of the Wild.
• Beetz will request 3 Courser Bee Honey before he agrees to return to the stable. Hopefully, you have these honey items on hand from rescuing the horn player. If not, you can find them in the woods behind the Great Fairy or near the chasm above Kakariko Village.
• Once you have the honey and have reunited with Beetz, you will need to use the Ultrahand magic to transport the musical troupe's cart across the river.

By completing these tasks, you'll successfully unlock the Great Fairy Cotera near the Dueling Peaks Stable, allowing you to continue upgrading your armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Great Fairy Kaysa

• To unlock the final Great Fairy named Kaysa near the Outskirt Stable, you must locate the flutist who is situated up a tree just outside the Highland Stable, located south of Lake Hylia.
• In order for the flutist to rejoin the musical troupe, he requires 10 Sunset Fireflies, which can be found in the forests to the north during nighttime. Alternatively, you can purchase them from a traveling merchant in the area.
• Once you have gathered the Sunset Fireflies, return to the musical troupe located further north. At this point, you'll need to find a way to equip their cart with larger wheels to overcome the off-road terrain and reach the Great Fairy Kaysa.

With all four Great Fairies now active, they will be capable of enhancing your armor up to a 4-star rank. Even upgrading a set of armor to level 2 can provide impressive set bonuses, such as negating fall damage for the Glide Suit or significantly reducing stamina consumption while climbing with the Climbing Gear.

Great Fairy Fountain Location

You might come across a Great Fairy Fountain early in your journey, as they can be found near several stables throughout Hyrule. Keep an eye out for purple puffs of smoke near the Woodland Stable in the Northeast, Dueling Peaks Stable in the Southeast, Outskirt Stable in the Southwest, and Snowfield Stable in the Northwest. These smoke signals will guide you to the nearby fountains.

Upon discovering a Great Fairy Fountain, you'll realize that things have changed compared to Breath of the Wild. Instead of requiring a large amount of rupees, the Great Fairies will only emerge if they hear some wonderful music. To initiate this quest, you need to become a reporter for the Lucky Clover Gazette.

Make sure to visit the former Rito Stable in the Tabantha Frontier, just below the entrance to Rito Village in the far northwest. There, you'll find another Great Fairy Fountain waiting to be discovered.
