The Outlast Trials is a psychological horror survival video game developed and published by Red Barrels. Released on May 18, 2023, it serves as the third installment in the Outlast series and acts as a prequel to the previous two games. The game is currently available via early access for Microsoft Windows. In The Outlast Trials, players experience a first-person perspective in a survival horror setting. While the game offers four-player cooperative multiplayer, it is also possible to play solo.
The main objective is to complete a series of tasks while evading terrifying and monstrous enemies. Finding Dorris
Dorris can usually be found sitting in the cafeteria area on the top floor of the institute. However, players need to complete the tutorial first to access the institute area.
Dorris, the Retired Test Subject: Dorris is a retired fellow test subject who has endured numerous torturous trials. She now makes a living by smuggling contraband items into the facility's sleep room. Players can only conduct business with Dorris once they reach therapy level 10, which requires completing a substantial number of trials and gathering XP.
Unlocking Amps
At the time of writing, there are a total of 9 Amps available from Dorris. These Amps unlock in pairs based on player levels. The first Amp unlocks at level 10, the second at level 12, the third at level 14, and so on.

From the central terminal, players can also navigate to the 'Loadout' menu. Here, they can select the three Amps they want to bring into the trials. Additionally, players have the option to customize their Rig (equipment) and Prescriptions (special abilities).

To access Tier 2 Prescriptions, all Tier 1 Prescriptions must be unlocked.

You can see the Prescriptions you have by using the central terminal in the Murkoff Facility and selecting 'Loadout.'
