Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It's the sequel to Modern Warfare II, part of the Call of Duty series. Released on November 10, 2023, for various platforms, the game continues the realistic, modern setting, following Task Force 141 as they pursue a Russian ultranationalist, Vladimir Makarov, planning to start a third World War.

The multiplayer features sixteen remastered maps from Modern Warfare 2, with more planned post-launch. Additionally, there's a Zombies mode developed by Treyarch, offering a player versus environment experience in an open-world setting.

Initially intended as an expansion for Modern Warfare II, the game transitioned into a standalone release. Revealed in August 2023, Modern Warfare III received mixed reviews, with praise for its multiplayer but criticism for its campaign, and varied opinions on its Zombies mode.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay

"Modern Warfare III will play a lot like its predecessor and other Call of Duty games. It brings back features like slide canceling. The campaign offers both linear missions and 'Open Combat Missions,' giving players more freedom in how they tackle objectives.

In multiplayer, there will be all sixteen maps from Modern Warfare 2 at launch. Players can vote for maps in lobbies, and there will be a bit more health for a longer time to kill. The 'red dot' minimap is back, allowing players to spot enemies on their radar when they shoot without a suppressor. Classic modes like 'Kill Confirmed' and 'Hardpoint' are returning, along with a new mode called 'Cutthroat.' Ground War and War mode are making a comeback too. The game will also use AI to monitor and report toxic behavior.

The game will also have a new open-world PvE Zombies mode. Developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, it's different from the old round-based survival style. Up to 24 players will team up on a big map called Urzikstan. They'll face off against zombies and AI-controlled enemies, completing objectives, collecting loot, and extracting items. Instead of rounds, the map is divided into 'zones' with varying difficulty levels. After 45 minutes, an 'Aether Storm' starts, giving players 15 minutes to get out with their loot. This can be carried into the next match. It includes familiar elements like weapon purchases, special drinks, and mystery boxes. Story quests will also be part of the mode, advancing the narrative."

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Plot

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's campaign story takes place after the events of Modern Warfare II. It features fictional locations like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main villain is Ultranationalist terrorist Vladimir Makarov. Task Force 141, led by characters like Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, are the main heroes. Players will also take on roles in Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.

The Zombies story happened in Urzikstan in 2021, after the events of Modern Warfare (2019) and almost 40 years after the Black Ops Cold War. It includes characters like Victor Zakhaev, a Russian arms dealer, and Sergei Ravenov, a former Spetsnaz captain with experience in dealing with zombies. New characters are introduced too, like Jack Fletcher from the private military company Terminus Outcomes, and Selma Greene, who leads Operation Deadbolt, a CIA plan formed after the Cold War outbreak.
