How to Unlock Ultimate Skills in Persona 5 Tactica?

To unlock ultimate skills in Persona 5 Tactica, follow these steps:

  • Progress through the game: As you play the game and complete missions, you'll notice some skills are initially locked, especially the ultimate skills.
  • Complete Mission 45: After finishing Mission 45, return to the hideout. Lavenza, a character in the game, will summon you and announce her trials.

  • Lavenza’s Trials: These trials are the key to unlocking ultimate skills. There are three trials in total.

    • Quest 13 - Lavenza’s First Trial: Requires Joker, Morgana, and Makoto. The objective is to reach the goal in one turn.

    • Quest 14 - Lavenza’s Second Trial: Requires Ryuji, Yusuke, and Ann. The objective is to carry trial gear to the target.

    • Quest 15 - Lavenza’s Third Trial: Requires Haru, Erina, Toshiro, and one more character. The objective is to defeat enemies within four turns.

  • Completing the Trials: Once you complete these trials with the specified characters, their ultimate skills will be unlocked.

  • Ultimate Skills: These skills are at the bottom of each character's offensive spell tree. Even when unlocked, you need to purchase all five offensive spells above the ultimate skill, which requires a significant amount of GP (game points).

  • Use Ultimate Skills: Ultimate skills are powerful and worth the GP and SP costs, offering unmatched range and damage.

Every Ultimate Skill in Persona 5 Tactica

After completing one of Lavenza’s trials in the game, the three characters you used in that trial will gain access to their ultimate skill. However, you can't just get it right away. You have to unlock all their other offensive spells in the two rows above the ultimate skill. This can be a costly move, needing more than 100 GP (game points) per character.

But, the investment is worth it. Each ultimate skill is only a bit more expensive in terms of SP (skill points) compared to the next most powerful variant, but it comes with better damage and range. If you've got a comfortable SP pool, say around 400+, the cost becomes manageable. This is especially true if you have skills like Soul Repose+ and persona abilities like Invigorate, which help you manage your SP better. Below is a list of all the ultimate skills in the game.

Persona 5 Tactica Gameplay

Playing Persona 5 Tactica is like being in a cool strategy adventure. You control a group of up to three characters on a map full of bad guys. When you bump into them, the game switches to a turn-based battle where you and the enemy take turns making moves. Your team is made up of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and their leader, Erina from the Rebel Corps.

During battles, you can make your characters hide to avoid getting hurt, or you can block attacks. You can also get up close for a strong punch or use a gun for ranged attacks that can hit multiple enemies. Just like in Persona 5, your characters can summon powerful beings called Personas to use special skills in battle.

These skills have different powers, and using them cleverly can make enemies move around in funny ways. Knocking down an enemy gives you an extra turn to choose your next move. If you surround an enemy in a triangle with your team, you can unleash a super-strong attack called "Triple Threat." As you play, you can find new Personas and give them to your characters for extra skills. You get these Personas by winning battles or combining different ones together. The game's story takes you through maps inspired by three different kingdoms, each based on real-world historical revolutions.

Persona 5 Tactica Plot

In Persona 5 Tactica's story, something unexpected happens to the Phantom Thieves of Hearts from Persona 5. While hanging out at Cafe LeBlanc, they get whisked away to a different world that looks like medieval Europe. This happens right before the older members of the team graduate from Shujin Academy.

In this strange world, they meet Erina, who leads a group fighting for freedom called the Rebel Corps. The Phantom Thieves decide to team up with Erina and help her rebel against the Legionnaires, the new rulers who are pretty mean. The goal is to free this world from their control and figure out where it came from. So, the Phantom Thieves are on a mission to bring down the bad guys, uncover secrets, and make things right in this unfamiliar and authoritarian world.
