Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's campaign story takes place after the events of Modern Warfare II. It features fictional locations like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main villain is Ultranationalist terrorist Vladimir Makarov. Task Force 141, led by characters like Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, are the main heroes.
