List of Captains

The defending champion Gujarat Titans are entering the season. In the 2022 championship game in Ahmedabad, they defeated Rajasthan Royals. In his first season as captain, Hardik Pandya successfully guided Gujarat Titans to victory. Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals' captain, also received praise for his leadership throughout the season. In IPL 2023, both of them are anticipated to captain their respective teams once more.

After a forgettable season in 2022, MS Dhoni is also back in charge of the Chennai Super Kings and will want to advance to the playoffs. IPL 2023: List of Alternative Captains

This edition also includes a few new captains. After his sad tragedy, Rishabh Pant has been ruled out to play TATA IPL 2023. David Warner will be the captain of the Delhi Capitals. Shreyas Iyer, who is injured, is most certainly going to miss at least the first half of the IPL as well; Nitish Rana has been named skipper in his place for KKR

The South African all-rounder Aiden Markram has been named captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are hoping to perform better than they did the previous two seasons. Mayank Agarwal was also let go by Punjab Kings during the off-season, and Shikhar Dhawan has since taken his spot as captain.
