Is Logan Roy Really Dead?
Initially, the notion of Logan Roy faking his own death or using it as a tactic to manipulate his children may seem plausible to viewers. The third episode of the season, "Connor's Wedding," would seem like an unusual time for such a significant event, as lead character deaths typically occur at the end of a season. As the episode progresses, it becomes clear to the Roy family, those closest to them, and the audience that Logan's passing is genuine, and he died aboard Waystar's corporate jet. After-the-episode featurette, Brian Cox noted that it will be challenging for viewers when they see Logan's absence in Episode 3. He said, "I think they're going to find it tough because they've lived with Logan for so long. So they're going to miss him." Cox also revealed to Vulture that he didn't participate in read-throughs for the remaining episodes after Logan's death. He said, "Once I’m gone, I’m gone. It was hard to keep a secret all that time. It was a long time. When did I die? God, I think it was last July."
