An online news source reported the incident, claiming that the CJ was taken ill to Kenyatta National Hospital for dialysis.
According to the report, Martha Koome became ill on Tuesday night and was transferred to the KNH where she was admitted to the private wing.
The Judiciary, however, labeled the news as fake in a tweet.

The Judiciary released a screenshot of the report of Koome's illness in a tweet on January 19, 2023, and stated that it was fake information.

On September 25 of last year, Koome was said to have praised the prayers that were held at the State House by a fake but verified Twitter account that included her profile picture.
The tweet suggested that the Judiciary follow the action.
The fake tweet read, "Thank you William Ruto for making State House a house of prayer. A good example for Kenya Judiciary. Kenya is a country of God."
