The Nurse Review

The Nurse is a Danish true-crime mini-series streamed on Netflix. The miniseries is short, crisp, and focused on the dramatic gravity of the story, with 4 episodes and each episode lasting around 40-50 minutes. The acting performances, particularly of Fanny Louise Bernth and Josephine Park, are convincing and apt. The series does not paint Pernille's character as desperate or conniving, but instead shows her as confused and nervous about her suspicions. The fact that the series is based on true events adds a formidable seriousness to it. However, the series skips over the investigative and legal parts of the case, leaving a personal qualm for the reviewer. Overall, “The Nurse” is good enough for a regular true-crime fix and leaves on a satisfactory note.
