The Jonas Brothers, are a renowned American pop rock band with a rich history in the music industry. The trio, consisting of brothers Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas, first came into the spotlight in 2005, largely due to their appearances on the Disney Channel, which catapulted them to fame.
Hailing from Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers relocated to Little Falls in 2005, where they began crafting their debut album, "It's About Time," which eventually saw its release under Hollywood Records. Their Disney journey continued with starring roles in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock" and its sequel "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" in 2010. Additionally, they headlined their own Disney Channel series, initially titled "Jonas" but rebranded as "Jonas L.A." for its second season.
The band's music catalog includes six studio albums, starting with "It's About Time" in 2006 and followed by "Jonas Brothers" (2007), "A Little Bit Longer" (2008), "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" (2009), "Happiness Begins" (2019), and "The Album" (2023).
In 2008, the Jonas Brothers received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and clinched the Breakthrough Artist award at the American Music Awards. Before their album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times," their global album sales had already crossed the eight-million mark.
Following a hiatus from 2010 to 2011 to explore solo ventures, the group briefly reunited in 2012 to work on a new album. Unfortunately, the project was shelved, and the band disbanded on October 29, 2013.
In 2019, the Jonas Brothers made a triumphant return with the release of "Sucker," a chart-topping hit that debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, marking their first-ever chart-topper. Their fifth studio album, "Happiness Begins," dropped on June 7, 2019, and claimed the number one spot on the US Billboard 200.
More recently, on May 12, 2023, the brothers unveiled their eagerly anticipated sixth studio album, "The Album." This 12-track masterpiece, produced by Jon Bellion, was preceded by the singles "Waffle House" and "Wings," solidifying their continued impact on the music industry. Over the years, the Jonas Brothers have sold over 17 million albums worldwide, and their enduring presence in the industry has left an indelible mark on pop music.
