On February 12, 2022, a second season was announced. Shōta Goshozono took over as the series director, replacing Sunghoo Park. Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu were in charge of character design, and Yoshimasa Terui returned as the sole composer. The second season premiered on July 6, 2023. It is planned to run for two continuous cours and will adapt the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" and "Shibuya Incident" story arcs from the manga.

The first story arc serves as a prequel to "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" and the first season, focusing on Satoru Gojo's early days as a young sorcerer, working alongside his friend Suguru Geto and others from the Jujutsu Academy, while they take down Curses. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

In the third episode of the season, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Misato Kuroi, and Riko Amanai enjoy their time together in Okinawa after successfully rescuing Kuroi from her kidnappers. Nanami Kento and Yu Haibara also join them in Okinawa to assist with the mission. Gojo decides to extend their stay for one more day to relax.
