During the school's annual music festival, students from all grades gather to watch their friends perform. The studio's music director attends the event, believing that Jin Ho-bin might be the talented artist he's looking to sign. Jin and his friend take the stage as the second-to-last act, while Deok-Hwa and Park perform last.
After his performance, Jin is convinced he has won and provokes Deok-Hwa backstage, leading Park to threaten retaliation. However, Deok-Hwa plans to seek vengeance through his own music, which he wrote and composed, confident it will outshine Jin's performance, who had professional musicians backing him.
Despite Park's initial stage fumbles with his notes, Deok-Hwa proves to be a natural performer, akin to his biggest inspiration, Eminem. During the performance, Park overcomes his stage fright and finds solace thinking about his beloved mother.
The emotionally charged performance earns them the title of winners. Surprisingly, the music director approaches them but offers the contract to Park instead of Jin, disregarding Deok-Hwa due to his ordinary appearance. In response, Park rejects the offer, showing no respect for the director or his renowned record label.
The video of their set at the music festival quickly goes viral, catching the attention of a famous musician known as "DG," who shares it with Choi. Choi is taken aback by the attractive Park singing the same tune the original Park had hummed in the convenience store.
