Love Island UK

Love Island's ninth series aired on ITV2 from 16 January to 13 March 2023, marking the second winter edition of the show and the debut of Maya Jama as the host. Iain Stirling returned as the narrator. Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the competition with 43.75% of the final vote, making history as the first couple formed during the Casa Amor twist to win the show. Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall were the runners-up.

ITV announced in June 2022 that the show would return for two series in 2023, with the winter edition filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. Laura Whitmore, who had hosted the show for three series, announced in August 2022 that she would be stepping down due to the difficulties of the role and conflicts with her other projects. Maya Jama was later confirmed as the new presenter in October 2022, with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu reportedly turning down the offer. The first trailer for the show aired on 26 December 2022, featuring a pink velvet mechanical bull, and the series premiered on 16 January 2023 on ITV2 before being available on Hulu in the US two weeks later.

Love Island UK Season 9 Where are they now?

Here is the list of Couple in Love Island UK Season 9 who are together and broken up:-

Kai and Sanam

It seems that Kai and Sanam, the winning couple from Love Island UK season 9, are still together and going strong. They recently caused a stir on Twitter when they pretended to get engaged during an appearance on BBC's Asian Network radio on March 20, 2023.

Kai, a science and physical education teacher from Manchester, was an original Islander who entered the villa on day one. He spoke to ITV in a press release for season 9, saying that the villa was the perfect place to form a genuine connection with someone.

Sanam, on the other hand, was brought in as an Outsider on day 29. She described herself as a flirtatious and competitive person who enjoys banter, and revealed that she's been known to tease guys she's interested in.

Lana and Ron

Has it been confirmed if Lana and Ron are still together from Love Island UK season 9? No confirmation has been made, but it was reported that they were seen in a heated argument the night before the show’s reunion and Love Island bosses had to intervene during their flight back to the UK from South Africa due to a “heated row”. It was said that they refused to film the ‘meeting the family’ part of the reunion show at Heathrow until producers stepped in. Lana later posted on Instagram to express her gratitude for the love and support they have received and shared that they are excited for the future. A photo of them posing together was included in the post.

Shaq & Tanya

They were recently seen embracing each other on their Instagram pages on March 16, 2023, indicating that Shaq Muhammad, a 24-year-old airport security officer in London, and Tanya, a 22-year-old biomedical engineering student and influencer, are still together.

When Shaq started out in the villa, he pitched himself as a great boyfriend, stating that he was very kind and thoughtful, and that parents always loved him. Meanwhile, Tanya said that she wanted to bring good vibes and energy to the villa, and although she was super nice, she wouldn't hesitate to give it back if someone was being cheeky.

Tom and Samie

It appears that Tom and Samie are still together after Love Island UK season 9. Upon returning home, they were greeted by family and friends with T&S light-up letters on March 17. Co-star Claudia Fogarty also posted about their homecoming. The next day, Tom confirmed on his Instagram stories that while they had not yet made things official, Samie will soon be his girlfriend.

An extended period of leave was granted to Tom Clare, a 23-year-old footballer from Skelmersdale in Lancashire, to appear on the show. He plays for non-league Macclesfield FC and was the team’s top scorer during the 2021/2022 season. The club said that Tom had expressed an "unwavering desire" to return after the show.

Samie Elishi, a 22-year-old senior estate agent coordinator from London, is an honest person with "no filter" who won't give up easily on an Islander she has her eye on.

Will and Jesse

A picture of Will Young and Jessie Wynter at his farm together suggests that they are still together after Love Island UK Season 9.

Olivia and Maxwell

A picture of Olivia and Maxwell was posted by Olivia shortly before the season finale, as they were coupled up during the Casa Amor stage of the show and were eliminated shortly after.

Casey & Rosie

Unfortunately, it has been reported that the surprise couple has broken up. After being dumped from the villa, a fan question was answered on Casey's Instagram stories, stating, "Rosie and I have spoken…she’s such a great girl. Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward."
