Marvel Midnight Suns Wiki

Firaxis Games and Marvel Games collaborated on the development of the tactical role-playing game Marvel's Midnight Suns. It features characters from a number of Marvel Comics properties, including Runaways, Avengers, Midnight Sons, and X-Men. Over 40 different powers are available for players to choose from when building their very own superhero, dubbed "The Hunter."

The game was announced in August at the virtual Gamescom 2021, and it was released on December 2, 2022, for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Later, it will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Despite receiving mostly positive reviews, it was deemed "a commercial flop" due to its slow sales.

Time Winters voices Hydra scientist Doctor Faustus, who revives Lilith (Jennifer Hale) using dark magic and science in the hope of using her to help Hydra conquer the world. Six months later, a star known as the "Midnight Sun" approaches Earth, causing magic to become unstable and signaling the return of Chthon, Lilith's master. Spider-Man and the Hunter track down Venom, who went underground and contracted the disease by eating vampyres.

Spider-Man accepts Mephisto's offer to cure Venom in return for the heroes' defeat of Dracula's forces. Venom joins the Midnight Suns and calls for a truce after being cured. Mephisto helps the Hunter, Venom, and Spider-Man locate the primary nest of the vampires and Dracula himself in an effort to exact vengeance for Dracula's breach of a contract with them. The trio demolish the nest together and force Dracula to flee.

Marvel Midnight Suns Walkthrough

Here we share the Marvel MIdnight Suns Walkthrough below:-

Be careful not to become overwhelmed by the many stats and status effects. Players who are familiar with the fundamentals are less likely to be perplexed by new cards and teammates and more likely to be excited about them.

Idea about Game

The campaign of the game can be completed in a variety of ways, but there are certain ways to do it better. Those gamers who care about style and persevere through the game's toughest challenges can always benefit from sound advice.

Currency and Resource

In the game, the concept of "money" can become hazy. It's easy to get them all mixed up with Gloss, Essence, Intel, two different Credit types, and more. However, they each have their own duties and opportunities to earn respect.

Hero

The superheroes are a superhero game's most crucial component. The 12 PM Suns are all Wonder legends, however they address characters from a few unique establishments meeting up to stop a prophetically catastrophic occasion.

Both the scripted plot and the player's choices influence the precise synergy of these various heroes on the battlefield and at home. Gamers have the opportunity to assume the role of The Hunter and become central to this stellar cast.

Unlocking Heroes

It's possible that players with favorite heroes will have to wait for them to appear. Even though the majority of heroes will be useful no matter what, players can choose to unlock a specific one before going through the side missions.

Decks and Cards

The feature of the game's experience must be the deck working for every legend. The moves that players prefer for their favorite superheroes are up to them. They'll need to use their best skills to beat the game's toughest challenges.

Rank

Even though comic book fans may want their favorite hero on every mission, the game's structure practically requires players to rotate. With elite tanks, damage dealers, and support units, sometimes a difficult mission becomes nearly impossible. Some heroes appear to be perfectly content with the game's most difficult challenges, despite the fact that opinion and preference should be taken into consideration.

Puzzles and Rewards

Typically, games with tactical combat neglect puzzles and collectibles, but this one makes a welcome exception. The monastery has such countless mystery regions that becoming mixed up in the semi-open world portion is simple.

Although there are significant story elements and in-game rewards for those who choose to explore these areas, they are technically not required. Gamers will have a lot of good reasons to find the area's secrets, not just for the completionist credit.

Missions

When a player's friendship with The Hunter reaches its maximum level, they are technically able to access the legendary card of their preferred character within minutes. However, solving the puzzles can take up to an hour without the assistance of a guide. The straightforward solution that players need to move on will be found right here.

Marvel Midnight Suns Guide

Here is a Marvel Midnight Suns Guide which is very useful for video game players:-

Approach with Illyana

Illyana, a powerful young hero in the game Midnight Suns, has a unique approach to building friendships. Due to her difficult childhood growing up in a demon-infested Limbo, she struggles to relate to "normal" people and is only truly effective in combat if you become her friend. However, this is a challenge as she prefers a more pessimistic and realistic approach, disliking any hopeful or excited dialogue options that may reduce your Friendship level.

It's important to take a tailored approach with Illyana, as she's a good example of why each hero reacts differently to your Friendship approach. While other heroes may be easier to befriend, patience and measured responses are key to building a bond with Illyana. Ultimately, understanding each hero's backstory and preferences is crucial to building lasting friendships in Midnight Suns.

Be friendly to everyone

In Marvel's Midnight Suns, you have the freedom to choose your preferred heroes to accompany you in battles. While some heroes are required, you can mostly choose and level up your favorites individually. However, it's not recommended to do so.

As you build your Friendship with each hero, you'll earn tiered Friendship points that contribute to your overall Friendship score. This score unlocks new abilities, combos, and benefits as it increases. Your Friendship score is an average of all your Friendships, and having non-Friends in your party will lower your overall score.

To achieve the best results, it's important to make time for every hero and ensure that you keep all of them happy. Building strong friendships with each hero is crucial for unlocking new abilities and maximizing your overall effectiveness in battles.

Blade is everything

If you're looking to choose a favorite hero in Marvel's Midnight Suns, Blade is an excellent choice. He's not only incredibly cool, but also one of the most powerful heroes on your team. His attacks primarily inflict Bleed damage, which slowly weaken enemy strength over multiple turns. Additionally, he's generally easygoing and responds positively to most dialogue choices.

To level up Blade's already impressive attacks, spend time with him in Hangouts, chat with him frequently, and send him on missions often. Doing so will make him an essential player on the battlefield, especially if you can obtain rare Chain cards that allow him to target multiple enemies at once. With Blade on your team, you'll have a powerful and reliable ally in battle.

Double the Cards

As you progress through Marvel's Midnight Suns, you'll have the opportunity to obtain rare Coils, which are the game's equivalent of loot boxes. Unlike traditional loot boxes, Coils are earned through battle and cannot be purchased with real-life currency. These Coils allow you to discover new cards for each hero's deck, with typically 3 or more cards offered when you analyze a Coil. You can only save 1 or 2 of these cards, depending on your current capabilities.

When analyzing Coils, it's wise to prioritize saving hero attack cards, such as rare moves, high-powered blasts, and cards with special abilities like quick, bind, or bleed. If possible, try to choose doubles of cards you already possess, as these can be combined using Essence to make even basic attacks more potent. By focusing on acquiring and enhancing powerful hero attack cards, you'll be able to maximize your team's effectiveness in battles.

Play Hard

With each turn in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you’re granted a range of actions to take – by deploying cards, redrawing cards, moving across the battlefield, playing items, or interacting with special obstacles. As in titles like XCOM and Mario + Rabbids, you should use every action available to take down enemy units. Moves, for example, can be deployed to thump enemies into high-damage obstacles. Redraws can strengthen the deck of select heroes.

Your overall capability will be determined by your Heroism score – which is grown or reduced by playing cards. Strategise well, and you’ll be able to earn a great amount of Heroism at the start of your turn, to be deployed as strong attacks or environmental takedowns in the later half.

There’s a real rhythm to each phase of battle, and you’ll need to perfect it to squeeze the most damage out of your opponents. Think deeply about your turns, monitor your Heroism level, and ensure you’re making the most of every move.

Use All actions

In Marvel's Midnight Suns, you have a range of actions available to you during each turn, such as deploying cards, redrawing cards, moving across the battlefield, playing items, and interacting with special obstacles. To be successful in battle, you should use every available action to take down enemy units, such as using moves to thump enemies into high-damage obstacles or redrawing cards to strengthen the deck of select heroes.

Your overall capability is determined by your Heroism score, which is grown or reduced by playing cards. To maximize your Heroism score, you should strategize well and earn as much Heroism as possible at the start of your turn. This can be deployed as strong attacks or environmental takedowns in the later half of your turn.

To be successful in battle, it's important to develop a rhythm and perfect each phase of the battle. This means thinking deeply about your turns, monitoring your Heroism level, and making the most of every move available to you. With practice and strategy, you can squeeze the most damage out of your opponents and come out on top.

Magik and Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider and Magik offer unique abilities to defeat enemies in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. They are able to create Drops, which are dangerous holes on the battlefield that can send enemies to hell or Limbo. However, there are limitations to using Drops - they only last for a limited time and some enemies are immune to being knocked back into them.

Despite these limitations, using Drops is a fun and effective way to deal with groups of Hydra enemies. Bringing Ghost Rider or Magik with you on missions allows you to knock enemies into these holes, giving you a strategic advantage in battles.

Of course, you can always defeat enemies the traditional way, but having a hero with Drop abilities in your team can provide a unique advantage in battle.

Marvel Midnight Suns Gameplay

In Marvel's Midnight Suns, players assume the role of "The Hunter", the only child of Lilith, and lead a team of heroes on various missions to defeat her. The Hunter, a customizable superhero created by Firaxis Games in collaboration with Marvel, can be played as either male or female and has over 30 different abilities to choose from.

Combat takes a turn-based approach similar to Firaxis Games' XCOM series, combined with deck-building mechanics reminiscent of Slay the Spire. Each hero, including The Hunter, has a customizable deck of eight cards. Before each mission, players choose three heroes, and their decks are combined into one to be drawn from each round. These cards represent abilities that can target enemies or buff the player's own heroes. Heroes can also move and interact with objects in addition to attacking.

In between missions, players manage and upgrade their base of operations, called "The Abbey". The Abbey is fully explorable in a third-person view, and players can interact with other heroes to influence gameplay and improve their abilities. The Abbey also serves as the primary source for acquiring new cards for hero decks and upgrading them.
