Marvel Contest of Champions Gameplay
In the Marvel Contest of Champions, you become a Summoner working for the Collector, assembling a team of Marvel heroes and villains to battle each other. The game is a 3D fighting game with a 2D playing field, similar to Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat X. You start with two 1-star characters and can unlock more powerful characters with up to seven stars.
There's an energy system that limits how many battles you can play, but it recharges over time. You can also fight other players' teams in one-on-one or three-on-three matches, but these opponents are controlled by the computer, not real players. The controls are touch-based, with options for light, medium, and heavy attacks, blocking, and dodging. Each hero has special moves and abilities. You can level up characters using ISO-8 and Gold and rank them up with Catalysts. The game features various in-game currencies like gold, units, and battlechips, which you use to upgrade and buy items. You can also join alliances and participate in alliance quests and wars.
