Chandler Wood, the Community Manager at Avalanche Software, confirmed this news on Twitter, stating that more details would be provided soon. The announcement has generated excitement among fans, who are eager to collect all available content in the popular Hogwarts Legacy game. Despite the unexpected popularity of the item, it is surprising that Avalanche Software did not anticipate the high level of interest it would generate, given the game's popularity on pre-order lists worldwide.
When Is The Next Hogwarts Legacy Merlin’s Cloak Twitch Drop?
On Friday, February 24, the Hogwarts Legacy studio playthrough will take place at 2 PM PST/5 PM EST. To receive the exclusive Merlin's Cloak Twitch Drop, viewers must watch the launch stream on the Avalanche Software channel for at least 20 minutes with Twitch Drops enabled. It is unclear whether there will be any additional opportunities to obtain the rare outfit. Previously, the Early Access stream on February 7 and the launch stream on February 10 had been the only chances to acquire it. These two streams helped Hogwarts Legacy become the most-viewed single-player game on Twitch.
Additionally, February 24 is the last day to receive the other four Twitch Drops: Silver Dragon-eyed Spectacles, Urchin Hat, Carmine Lightning Bolt Scarf, and Lilac Ensemble outfit. To obtain these items, viewers must watch a participating streamer playing Hogwarts Legacy with Twitch Drops enabled for up to two hours.
How To Get Merlin’s Cloak?
To obtain the highly sought-after Merlin's Cloak in Hogwarts Legacy, you must have both a Twitch and WB account that are linked together. While the previous opportunities to acquire the cloak have passed, there may be future chances to obtain it.
To win the cloak and other rewards, simply tune in to Avalanche's official Twitch account during the launch week live stream. You must watch at least 20 minutes of the stream to be eligible for the Twitch Drop.
Once you have completed the requirements and received notification of the Twitch Drop, launch Hogwarts Legacy on your platform of choice and link your WB account in the game settings. The Merlin's Cloak will then be added to your inventory automatically.
