Modern Warfare 3 Elevator Out of Order Guide
Locating the Ascender:
Start as Gaz on the first floor of the building.
Ascend to the eleventh floor by following these steps: a. Climb the ladders in the elevator shaft to reach the fifth floor. b. Fight through the fifth floor and proceed down the hallway. c. Climb the stairs to the sixth floor. d. Fight through the hallway on the sixth floor and head towards the seventh floor at the end of the hall.
When the stairs are blocked on the seventh floor, head out the window onto the roof platforms and scaffolding.
Follow the metal railing up to the windows on the left and re-enter the building.
Eliminate all enemies on this floor.
Proceed through the hole in the ceiling to climb up to the eighth floor, where you'll find a ladder.
Climb the ladder to easily access the ninth floor.
Reaching the Roof for the Elevator Out of Order Trophy:
On the ninth floor, go to the balcony and climb the boxes to the left.
Follow the yellow tarps across the outside of the building.
Jump across the gap to the other balcony.
Continue following the path marked with yellow tarps and metal ramps.
Climb back into the window at the top of the scaffolding ramp and enter the stairwell between floors ten and eleven.
Climb the half stairs to reach the eleventh floor.
Fight through the eleventh floor down the main hallway, following the hall as it turns to the right.
At the end of this hallway, you'll find an open window and an open supply crate on the right, with the ascender inside.
Obtain the ascender.
Achieving Elevator Out of Order Trophy:
Once you have the ascender, you must reach the roof in 45 seconds or less.
From the start of the mission, head to the elevator shaft and use the ascender to quickly climb the line.
Proceed to the fifth floor and go to the end of the hall.
Instead of taking the stairs, ascend the line near the staircase at the end of the hall.
This shortcut will take you to the eleventh floor, where you found the ascender.
Head to the line that goes out the window onto the scaffolding, but do not take it.
Deal with enemies on the next platform before crossing the zipline.
The roof can be reached in 15-20 seconds, making it easy to complete the Elevator Out of Order trophy/achievement.
