MultiVersus
A free-to-play crossover fighting video game called MultiVersus is being developed by Player First Games and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in 2022. The platform fighter game is playable on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S and features characters from Warner Bros. Discovery franchises. Early access and open beta versions of the game were made available in July 2022. The game was officially unveiled in November 2021 after online speculations and leaks.
MultiVersus Game Play
Players in MultiVersus engage in platform combat on various stages while trying to deliver enough damage to their adversary to push them past the stage's edge. Although there are options for 1-vs-1 and free-for-all combat, the game prioritizes team battles between two characters; most attacks in the game are made with this in mind, and other players can passively enhance the effect of the action.
A perk system in MultiVersus lets players give their characters passive powers that will also have an impact on their teammates in Teams. These include a character's unique Signature Perks, which are specific to that character and have a direct impact on their traits and skills. The effects of perks are increased when players on the same team equip them.
