My Happy Marriage Plot

"My Happy Marriage" is set in an alternate version of the 19th-century Meiji Restoration era, where spirits and magic are real but fading. The story follows Miyo Saimori, who lacks supernatural abilities and suffers under her abusive stepmother's control.

When she reaches marriageable age, her dreams of a better life are shattered upon learning that her fiancé, Kiyoka Kudou, is reputed to be cold and cruel, scaring away previous brides.

With no other options, Miyo accepts her fate, only to discover that Kiyoka is nothing like the monster she expected. As they gradually open up to each other, they both realize that their union might offer a chance at true love and happiness.
