On January 27, 2023, Nicola Bulley disappeared while walking her dog at St. Michael's in Wyre, Lancashire, UK. Despite extensive search efforts involving police divers, helicopters, sniffer dogs, and drones, no trace of her was found.

The Lancashire Constabulary initially believed that she may have fallen into the River Wyre and there was no indication of foul play. However, on February 19, Bulley's body was discovered in the river about a mile downstream from where she went missing by a couple walking their dog.

Lancashire Constabulary later confirmed that the body belonged to Bulley, although her cause of death is still undetermined. Recently, divers returned to the river to investigate further under the request of Dr. James Adeley, HM Senior Coroner for Lancashire.

On January 27, a 45-year-old mother of two went missing while walking her dog Willow near the river in St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire. The incident triggered a massive search operation involving various teams such as police, firefighters, mountain rescue, underwater teams, and locals who combed through a vast area.

Unfortunately, on February 19, her body was found just over a mile from where she disappeared. The inquest into her death is scheduled for June 26 at County Hall in Preston, and according to an HM Coroner spokesperson, the investigation will take some time to complete to ensure that the most comprehensive possible picture of the facts surrounding her death is presented at the inquest, which will aid the family in comprehending what happened.

Until then, the police and emergency services must address several questions to provide closure for Nicola's partner, Paul Ansell, and their two children. The cause of death remains unknown.
