However, their happiness is short-lived as Cheol-woong discovers Doo-hak's survival and demands that he leave the country without Jung-shin. Doo-hak refuses to abandon her and instead plans a scheme to expose Choong-sung's involvement in his father's murder.
Unfortunately, the plan takes an unexpected turn when Man-ok reveals that Choong-sung is not Cheol-woong's real father. Surprisingly, Choong-sung already knew the truth but chose to protect Yeo-jin and bury the secret.
In a shocking twist, Choong-sung shoots Man-ok and covers up the murder, pushing Doo-hak into a dangerous situation. Despite recording the entire conversation, Doo-hak's life is at stake as Choong-sung frames him as a spy for North Korea.
Yeo-jin, realizing the consequences of releasing the recording, sets up a meeting with Doo-hak and Jung-shin, appearing to offer a solution. However, it turns out to be a trap as Choong-sung and his armed men storm in. In a selfless act, Jung-shin places herself between Doo-hak and Cheol-woong's gun. Doo-hak reveals Yeo-jin's role in his father's murder, causing Cheol-woong to finally understand the truth.
Amidst the chaos, Doo-hak is shot, and it seems like he won't survive. However, with the help of their gang friends and Cheol-woong's protection, they manage to escape. Choong-sung is later arrested but chooses to end his life, while Yeo-jin ends up in a psychiatric hospital due to her delusions. Am-daek, unfortunately, doesn't get a love line with Poong-ho.
In the end, Doo-hak survives, and his name is cleared. The three leads return to their hometown, enjoying a movie together. Doo-hak and Cheol-woong have developed a more brotherly relationship, while one of them faces arrest, presumably Cheol-woong, for his past crimes as a prosecutor.
Although there were some questionable choices along the way, the strong connection between Doo-hak and Jung-shin remained the heart of the drama. Their Hollywood ending brings a sense of satisfaction, and seeing them together was a natural conclusion.
While forgiving Cheol-woong proves challenging, justice is served, and the characters find closure in their respective journeys. Overall, despite its flaws, Oasis ends on a positive note, leaving us with a belief in the existence of goodness and justice in the world.
