Pac-12 Conference

The Pac-12 Conference is a group of colleges in the western part of the United States that play sports together. There are 12 schools in this group, and they compete in 24 different sports as part of the NCAA Division I level. One of the most popular sports they play is football, and their teams are in the Football Bowl Subdivision, which is the highest level for college football.

These schools are in states like Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Each state's main public university is part of the Pac-12, along with a few other public universities and a couple of private research universities. Over the years, this conference has had different names, but it became the Pac-12 in 2011 when two new schools, Colorado and Utah, joined the group.

The Pac-12 is known for its success in sports. They've won more NCAA national championships in team sports than any other conference. Schools like Stanford, UCLA, and USC have won many of these championships, making the Pac-12 really famous for sports. Recently, there have been some changes with schools leaving and joining other conferences, which has brought some changes and challenges for the Pac-12.
