In Persona 5 Tactica, players engage in tactical role-playing, controlling a party of up to three characters on a grid-based map filled with enemy units. Turn-based encounters occur directly with these units. The party consists of Phantom Thieves of Hearts members and Erina, the Rebel Corps' leader. Characters can take cover on the grid to reduce or block damage. Players can approach enemies for close-quarters attacks or choose actions from the Command menu.
Using the "Gun" option allows ranged attacks, potentially targeting multiple nearby enemies. The Phantom Thieves can summon Personas during battles, utilizing various Skills at the cost of Skill Points (SP). Skills have elemental affinities that affect enemy movement. Knocking down an enemy grants an additional turn, and when surrounded by allies in a triangular formation, players can trigger the "Triple Threat" Skill, dealing significant damage to enemies within the triangle.
Players can collect additional Personas and equip them as Sub-Personas, providing extra skills. These Personas are obtained as battle rewards or through fusion. The game's story unfolds through battles on maps representing three kingdoms inspired by real-world historical revolutions.

Quest 5 is known as "Operation BOOM!" It's a mission where Erina and Morgana plan to use enemy bombs against them.
The goal is to showcase your understanding of bombs by using them strategically to knock enemies out of cover and defeat them with Triangle Attacks within three turns.
Morgana and Erina are mandatory for this quest. The third unit is optional, and their identity doesn't significantly impact the quest.
Start by having Morgana use Garu to knock an enemy behind the cover, then let Erina shoot the bomb to trigger a One More. Use the third unit to hit the bomb on the right to group enemies.
Maintain cover, trigger Triangle Attacks strategically, and, by the third turn, eliminate enemies using bombs. Make sure Erina shoots the out-of-cover enemy for an extra turn, allowing for a final Triangle Attack.
