Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gym Badges

In "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet," the Gym Badge system differs from earlier games. Unlike older entries where badges dictate obedience levels, here, badges don't grant specific obedience levels. Instead, they enable Pokemon obedience based on the number of badges collected. For instance, with four badges, Pokemon up to level 40 will obey commands, facilitating smoother progression through Victory Road.

Capturing wild creatures at or below this level also becomes easier. Notably, catching Pokemon above the trainer's badge level may lead to occasional disobedience until the trainer collects the appropriate badges. Moreover, defeating gyms rewards players with more than just badges; each gym victory unlocks new sandwich recipes, providing an enjoyable bonus for trainers exploring the vibrant Paldea region.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gameplay

In "Pokemon Scarlet and Violet," the gameplay is similar to other Pokemon games, where players catch and trade creatures called Pokemon. They explore the open world, which includes cities and wilderness without borders between them, a new feature not seen in earlier Pokemon games. An exciting addition is the ability to choose to battle trainers on different paths, offering a fresh experience. Players have the freedom to progress in their own way, with three routes to choose from, and objectives within these routes can be completed in any order.

The games introduce 112 new Pokemon, including three new starters (Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly) and two legendary Pokemon (Koraidon and Miraidon). These legendary Pokemon can help in traveling through the game's world. Additionally, there are new regional forms, Paradox Pokemon, and Pokemon with "convergent evolution," resembling other species but being completely different.

A special mechanic called "Let's Go" lets players send out a Pokemon to roam the overworld and automatically battle wild Pokemon. Cooperative play is also possible, allowing up to three players to join forces. A unique feature is the Terastal phenomenon, giving Pokemon a crystal-like appearance and changing their type to match their "Tera Type," introducing new strategic elements with special moves like Tera Blast.
