AUDIO

All Modes

  • Rebalanced first-person and enemy footstep audio.

Since the launch of Season 1 last week, we’ve been actively listening to player feedback regarding audio concerns in Warzone, especially related to footsteps. This initial update is aimed at addressing part of these concerns and enhancing the overall experience before we head into the holidays.

When making changes such as this, there’s a complex mix of variables we need to meticulously look at and consider. One of the primary factors to consider is the fidelity of the experience across our titles to avoid too large a gap between Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Beyond that, changes to things like occlusion, falloff distance, first-person vs third-party balance, or specific Perk mechanics, can have ripple effects due to the sheer number of interacting/overlapping sounds in a Battle Royale match.

Please know that we're committed to ongoing improvements and to ensuring that players can fully immerse themselves in the game while maintaining a competitive edge. Your continued constructive feedback is appreciated, and we'll continue to work towards making Warzone the best it can be on every front.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed collision issues with various elements across Urzikstan allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to get stuck inside locked buildings that should otherwise be inaccessible.
  • Fixed additional issues with incorrect text appearing on Challenges.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a new video game where players fight in intense battles. It's made by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. This game is part of the Call of Duty series, and it's the twentieth one. It's set to come out on November 10, 2023, for different gaming systems.

The game follows Task Force 141 as they chase after a dangerous terrorist named Vladimir Makarov. It's a continuation of their story from previous games.

In this game, there's not only a story mode but also a multiplayer mode with updated maps. For the first time in the Modern Warfare series, there's a mode where players fight against zombies.

Developers have used advanced technology to make the game look and feel more realistic. It was initially supposed to be an expansion but became its own full game.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay

Modern Warfare III will feel a lot like the previous games in the series. It's bringing back things like slide canceling. In the campaign, there will be both linear missions and 'Open Combat Missions,' so players can choose how they want to complete tasks.

For multiplayer, there will be sixteen maps from Modern Warfare 2 available when the game launches. Players can vote for maps in lobbies, and it'll take a bit longer to defeat opponents because they'll have a bit more health. The 'red dot' minimap is returning, which helps players see enemies on their radar when they shoot without using a suppressor.

Familiar modes like 'Kill Confirmed' and 'Hardpoint' will be there, and there's a new mode called 'Cutthroat.' Ground War and War mode are coming back too. The game will also use AI to watch for and report bad behavior.

There's a new open-world PvE Zombies mode developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Up to 24 players can team up on a big map called Urzikstan, fighting zombies and AI-controlled enemies. They'll complete tasks, gather loot, and take out items. Instead of rounds, the map is split into 'zones' with different difficulty levels.

After 45 minutes, an 'Aether Storm' begins, giving players 15 minutes to leave with their loot, which they can carry into the next match. It has features like buying weapons, special drinks, and mystery boxes. Story quests will also be part of this mode, moving the storyline forward.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Plot

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the campaign story follows the events after Modern Warfare II and unfolds in fictional places like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main bad guy is a terrorist named Vladimir Makarov.

The heroes are from Task Force 141, led by characters such as Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish. Players also get to be part of Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.

The Zombies story in Urzikstan happens in 2021, following the events of Modern Warfare (2019) and about 40 years after the Black Ops Cold War. It involves characters like Victor Zakhaev, a Russian arms dealer, and Sergei Ravenov, a former Spetsnaz captain experienced in dealing with zombies.

New characters introduced include Jack Fletcher from the private military company Terminus Outcomes, and Selma Greene, who leads Operation Deadbolt, a CIA plan created after the Cold War outbreak.
