Resident Evil 4 remake demo Walkthrough

Here we share the walkthrough of Resident Evil 4 remake demo:-

Start of a Chapter

The chapter begins with a trek down a muddy path that eventually leads to a gate where a deer carcass is lying close by. If you wish, you can examine the deer before proceeding.

Afterward, continue down the path until you come across a section where you need to crawl under some barbed wires. Once through, you will find yourself standing in front of an abandoned house. As you step inside, take a left turn towards the hallway and check the first room on your right. In this room, you will discover a Crude Charm with a message inscribed on the back. Make sure to examine it carefully, as doing so will provide you with an important file.

Way to Kitchen and Basement

Leave the room and make your way around the back of the house via the hallway. The blood-stained wall ahead is inaccessible, so you will need to enter through the other door to trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene ends, take control of your character and search the area for the Hunter's Lodge Key located beside the body of a villager. Additionally, you can also locate an Officer's Badge lying on the floor near the door. At this point, weapons will become available to you, including a knife and a handgun.

Make your way back to the marked door from earlier and use the key to unlock it. Descend down into the basement and enter the room located on the opposite side. Here, you will come across the corpse of the officer.

Get Green Herb

As you exit the room with the officer's corpse, prepare your handgun for the incoming Ganado (the name given to the village inhabitants). Proceed up the stairs and move through the hallway. Two additional Ganados are present, but you can evade them by staying crouched and moving silently. Instead of turning left towards the area where you found the Crude Charm earlier, take a right turn to reach a hidden room containing a staircase.

Inside the room, open the cabinet in front of you to find a Green Herb. Then, ascend to the second floor using the staircase. Enter the next room to trigger another cutscene.

Pave your way to Forest

Proceed down the trail and cross the bridge to reach a cabin. Before entering the cabin, search the nearby barrel for some Handgun Ammo. Keep an eye out for these containers, particularly if you are running low on ammunition or need healing items. Upon entering the cabin, you will find a Typewriter, which can be used to save your progress.

Head into the next room to access the other side of the area. Continue moving forward towards the ruined cabin to receive some unfortunate news that the dog cannot be rescued. Before leaving, you can open the drawer inside the cabin to acquire additional Handgun Ammo. Finally, return to the main path bypassing the fallen tree.

Time to Village Massacre

As you approach the truck, two villagers will attack you. Defeat them and head up the winding trail to reach a small cabin. A villager will be waiting behind the entrance, so try to lure them out for a clear shot. Collect the items inside, including the Red Herb. Combine this with a Green Herb to fully restore your health.

At the end of the trail, you will find the gate to the Village Square. We recommend taking the path to your left first and proceeding stealthily until you reach the house east of the village. Stay crouched and hug the north side of the village. Continue moving west, pick up the Green Herb near the logs, and silently take out the forking villager with a knife attack (a prompt will appear on-screen for this action). Once you are behind the two-story house, quickly run to the front door to advance to the next objective, which will alert the entire village.

Take a Shotgun and Fight

After the cutscene, quickly turn around and block the window by pushing the nearby cabinet in front of it. This will buy you some time to search the house for supplies. You'll find ammo, materials, and a First Aid Spray at the back of the house. Run up to the second floor and grab the W-870 shotgun on the wall and the Hand Grenade from the cabinet. These weapons will help you take down the Chainsaw Man.

Kick down the ladder on the other side of the room to create some distance between you and the villagers. Your goal now is to survive for about three and a half minutes.

When the Chainsaw Man enters the house, don't panic. Equip your shotgun and aim for his head to stagger him. This will give you a chance to attack him with your knife or flee to a safer spot. If your knife is still in good condition, you can also use it to parry his chainsaw and avoid instant death.

Use your shotgun and grenades until you run out of ammo, then jump out the window next to the cabinet where you found the hand grenade. Run around the back of the house to escape from the villagers. With only your handgun remaining, aim for headshots to stagger the enemies and follow up with a melee attack. This works on the Chainsaw Man too, but he has much higher durability. Try to conserve your remaining ammo and avoid getting cornered.

Ideas for Attacks

To save ammo and knife durability, try shooting an enemy in the head or leg to stagger them. If successful, you can do a follow-up melee attack that deals heavy damage. In the demo (Standard difficulty), most enemies will fall with one headshot and a melee attack.

Flash grenades also have the same effect in the area of impact. Use them in the middle of a group and follow up with kicks.

Interact with painted crates and barrels to obtain items such as ammo and crafting materials. Keep an eye on these to replenish your supplies.

If an enemy grabs you, it's better to break free normally than using your knife. Knifing the enemy when grabbed depletes its durability. Once it's gone, you won't be able to use the knife to block or parry attacks.

While breaking free from a grab will cause significant health loss, it's easier to recover health than knife durability. So, it's a better option to take.

Show your Strength

On the right side of the village entrance, there is a barn containing a cow. During a fight, you can attract a group of Ganados, including the Chainsaw Man, to follow you into the barn. Then, rush out of the other side and shoot the lantern hanging from the ceiling to ignite a fire that spreads throughout the barn, including the cow.

The burning cow will charge through any enemy in its path until it collapses, providing you with an opportunity to clear out the mob quickly.

Entry of TMP

If you're looking to diversify your weapon options beyond the handgun and shotgun, there's a secret area in the Village Square where you can obtain the TMP.

First, empty your inventory by discarding all your items. Then, open the village gate and locate the well behind one of the houses on the south side. The metal cover blocking the ladder will be removed, allowing you to descend underground where you'll find the TMP, a kitchen knife, and some SMG ammo.

The bonus of killing chainsaw men

In the demo, obtaining a total of 10,000 pesetas will earn you a Great! rating. To achieve this, you must kill two Chainsaw Men, who each drop 3,000 pesetas, and loot the rest from the other Ganados.

To spawn the first Chainsaw Man, run towards the northeast corner of the village as soon as you enter and head through the path by the tower. The cutscene will trigger when you get close to the gate.

To spawn the second Chainsaw Man, enter the house across the tower, where the W-870 is located, to trigger another cutscene.

Defeating two Chainsaw Men with only the starting gear is challenging, but it's even more difficult to do it before the time runs out. To increase your chances, discard your inventory and retrieve the TMP, along with its ammo and the Kitchen Knife, from the secret area under the well. Beware of villagers dropping down on you as you climb up.

When you're ready, spawn the first Chainsaw Man and use the TMP to stagger him, then finish him off with a melee attack. Repeat until he drops the pesetas.

To spawn the second Chainsaw Man, head towards the house with the shotgun and use the same strategy as before, but this time you have a shotgun and a hand grenade. You can jump outside the roof to avoid getting cornered indoors.

Resident Evil 4 remake demo Guide

Here are some tips and tricks you can do in Resident Evil 4 remake demo:-

Save ammo and use melee attacks

Don't waste ammo or time pulling out a knife when you spot a crate or barrel - Leon can simply kick them to reveal their contents. Aim for the head and kneecaps to stagger your enemies, and once the white marker flashes above their head, you can get in close to hit them with a melee attack for extra damage, and more importantly, crowd control. You can also melee attack them after perfect parrying with your knife.

Be careful with knife durability

Parrying, stabbing, and stopping enemies from grabbing you by knifing them will all lower the durability of the knife - with the latter taking away the most durability. Break out of grabs with the knife sparingly, or you'll risk breaking the knife and being unable to block or parry attacks. You can actually parry the Chainsaw Villager's attack - but it will likely break your knife in the process or lower almost all of your remaining durability. Still, it's preferable to getting killed in one hit by him.

Use the quick turn

Like the original, RE4 Remake has a quick turn, but it's bound to "down and R1", but can be configured in the controls.
