Resident Evil 4 is a scary game made by Capcom that first came out in 2005 for the GameCube. In the game, you play as special agent Leon S. Kennedy, and your job is to save the US president's daughter, Ashley Graham. She got kidnapped by a religious cult in rural Spain. Leon has to fight lots of infected enemies controlled by a parasite and team up with a spy named Ada Wong. Unlike the older Resident Evil games, this one has a moving camera and more action-packed gameplay.
They started making Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2 in 1999. They had a few different ideas but didn't use them. The first version was directed by Hideki Kamiya, but the creator of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, thought it was too different, so it became a different game called Devil May Cry in 2001. Resident Evil 4 Gameplay
In Resident Evil 4, you play as the main character, Leon S. Kennedy, seeing the action from a third-person perspective. The camera follows Leon from behind, and when you aim a weapon, it gets closer, like looking over his shoulder. There's no crosshair; instead, each gun has a laser sight. You have more shooting options, like making enemies stumble by shooting their feet or making them drop weapons by shooting their arms. You can also shoot down things thrown at you, like axes or scythes.
The game has interactive controls based on the situation. You can do things like kick down a ladder, jump out of a window, dodge an attack, or perform a finishing move on weakened enemies. Quick time events happen, where you press buttons shown on the screen to do things like dodging a falling boulder or fighting off an enemy.
The main enemies are aggressive villagers called Los Ganados. Unlike traditional zombies in the series, these villagers can dodge, use weapons, and work together. Villager leaders can transform into monstrous forms during battles. Other enemies include Regenerators, mutated creatures with powerful regenerative abilities, El Gigante, a troll-like creature, and Del Lago, a giant sea creature.
Resident Evil 4 Plot
In 2004, U.S. agent Leon S. Kennedy was sent to rescue the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, kidnapped by a cult in a Spanish village. The villagers, controlled by a parasite called Las Plagas, attack Leon. Captured and injected with the parasite, Leon escapes with Luis Sera, a former researcher. They rescue Ashley from a church where Saddler, the cult leader, plans to use her to infect the U.S. president.
After escaping, they face more challenges in a castle owned by Salazar, another cult member. Leon briefly meets Ada Wong, who supports him. He defeats Salazar and continues the search on an island, discovering his ex-comrade Krauser is involved.
Krauser kidnaps Ashley to steal Saddler's Plagas sample. With Ada's help, Leon defeats Krauser, rescues Ashley, and removes the parasites. He confronts Saddler, and kills him with Ada's help, but Ada takes the sample and escapes in a helicopter. Leon and Ashley flee the exploding island on a jet-ski.
