Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is a video game made by Atlus that came out in 2024. It's a remake of Persona 3, which first came out in 2006. In this game, you play as a high school student who returns to his hometown after his parents died in a car crash. He discovers he can summon a Persona, which is like his inner spirit, and joins a group called the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.). Together, they fight Shadows and try to uncover the mystery of something called the Dark Hour.

Fans had been asking for a remake of Persona 3 for a while, especially after the success of Persona 5 in 2016. Reload started being made in 2019 and was officially announced in June 2023. It stays true to the original story but has better graphics and some new features to match the newer Persona games.

The game was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, 2024. Critics liked it, and it sold really well, with 1 million copies sold in the first week. It's one of Atlus' fastest-selling games.

Shadow of The Abyss Persona 3 Reload Guide

In Persona 3 Reload, there's this special battle called the Shadow of the Abyss. It happens on Aug. 14 when the main character, also known as the Protagonist, gets caught up in a confrontation between Takaya and a strange Shadow creature that looks like Abaddon from the Devil Arcana.

This battle can be tough, especially if you're playing on Hard or Merciless difficulty. The tricky part is that the Shadow of the Abyss doesn't have any specific weaknesses you can exploit. It's resistant to pretty much everything you throw at it.

But don't worry too much about preparing different Personas for this fight because it's part of the story. However, if you're playing on a higher difficulty level, it's a good idea to fuse a Persona that can heal because you'll need it for at least three turns.

The good news is that after surviving for three turns, Takaya will come in and finish off the Shadow of the Abyss with a powerful attack, putting an end to the battle. So, hang in there and survive until Takaya shows up to save the day!

Persona 3 Reload Gameplay

Persona 3 Reload keeps the same mix of role-playing and social simulation gameplay as the original game, but it's been updated a lot. It looks better, plays smoother, and has some new features inspired by Persona 5. One big change is the interface. It's easier to see what you need to do next in the story, thanks to added descriptions of objectives. The map is better too, showing more details and marking important places to visit.

There are also new things to do outside of fighting Shadows. You can talk to your dormmates, cook, garden, watch movies, and read books. Doing these activities helps improve your character's stats, which can unlock new interactions with other characters.

In school, the questions from teachers are all new. And when you explore the world, the camera is behind your character now, giving you a better view. You can also fast-travel easily, moving between locations with just a few clicks. Inside Tartarus, the dungeon, things are different too. There's more to explore, and you can break objects to find hidden items. You can't tire out anymore, which makes battles easier.

Speaking of battles, they've been updated too. You can control your party members directly or let the computer decide their actions. The battle interface is similar to Persona 5, with different commands like "Persona" and "Attack." You can also pass your turn to another party member to keep the attack going. And when enemies are down, you can unleash an "All-Out Attack" for big damage.

After battles, you can still choose cards to get new Personas or bonuses, but now you get to pick which card you want instead of it being random. Overall, Persona 3 Reload takes everything good about the original game and makes it even better with updated graphics, smoother gameplay, and new features.
