Despite Hinckley's efforts to avoid the collision, she was unable to do so. She was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway and later transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries that are not life-threatening, according to Chief Dailey.
