In the Starfield quest "The Best There Is," players face a pivotal decision regarding betraying Huan Daiya, the captain of the Jade Swan. The quest revolves around obtaining a ComSpike, and Huan Daiya offers assistance by inviting the player to join her crew.

Upon boarding the Jade Swan, players must stealthily acquire a military uniform from a space station called SY-920. This uniform allows them to navigate without raising suspicions. Afterward, players reach the Command Bay and use an optional intercom to update Huan Daiya on their progress.

Huan Daiya reveals that critical information about the ComSpike is stored in the archives, but a clearance code is necessary to access it. This code is obtained by skillfully using a digipick on a computer in the security office.

With the clearance code in hand, players proceed to the archives and learn that the ComSpike is located in Engineering Bay 4. There, they encounter Dr. Vogel, who presents them with a pivotal choice. Players can choose to betray Huan Daiya, informing Dr. Vogel of her intentions. In return, they receive a keycard to secure the prototype ship with the ComSpike for the Crimson Fleet, angering Huan Daiya but pleasing the UC SysDef faction. Alternatively, players can persuade Dr. Vogel, allowing Huan Daiya to escape unharmed and benefiting the Crimson Fleet.

The decision made here influences the player's alignment with different factions in the game. Regardless of the choice, players must pilot the prototype ship back to their ship, the Key, and report to Delgado and UC Commander Kibwe to complete the quest, setting the stage for their next adventure in Starfield.
