As we had predicted, Kendall survived and did not die. Although he had put his life in danger with his suicidal behavior at the end of Episode 8 of Succession Season 3, he was saved by the timely intervention of Dasha Nekrasova's Comfry, who called for help. This leads to an awkward conversation among the Roy siblings on the eve of their mother's wedding, where they try to express their love for Kendall but fail when he refers to himself as Logan's firstborn son, which doesn't sit well with Connor.
However, in Episode 9, Kendall finally confesses to Shiv and Roman about his involvement in the waiter's death in Season 1, which triggers an emotional conversation. To their surprise, Shiv and Roman are supportive of him. But things take a turn when they discover that their father is planning to sell Waystar Royco to Lukas Mattson. In summary, Kendall survived and his attempt on his own life leads to important conversations among the Roy siblings.
Succession Season 3 Finale Recap And Review
In the finale of Succession season 3, it is revealed that Kendall (Jeremy Strong) survived his suicidal actions from the previous episode thanks to Comfry's intervention. He returns home to find his siblings playing Monopoly instead of waiting for him with concern. Although he has survived, he appears defeated and hopeless, with his future plans seeming uncertain. Initially, his survival may seem anticlimactic, as many had predicted his death would be a fitting end to his character's troubled arc.
However, it leads to a powerful scene where Kendall finally confesses to accidentally killing the waiter at Shiv's wedding, breaking down in tears in front of his siblings.
