Teamfight fTactics
Riot Games is the developer and publisher of the auto-battle game named Teamfight Tactics (TFT). A League of Legends derivative, the game pits players against seven other opponents online in a team-building game based on Dota Auto Chess. The main objective of the game is to be the last player standing. Various game modes are also available as well, including Normal, Ranked, HyperRoll, and Double Up, which was just released. Double Up is a special game mode where players play with a partner and the team faces off against the other three teams' six players, although the majority of these modes pit players against seven other opponents. Featuring cross-platform play, the game was made available as a League of Legends game mode for Microsoft Windows and macOS in June 2019 and as a standalone game for Android and iOS in March 2020.
Teamfight Tactics Gameplay
The Teamfight Tactics game is based on the Dota Auto Chess mod for Dota 2, and it has eight players building teams to battle it out to be the last one standing. Players can also tactically put units on the hexagons on their side of the game board on the battlefield, which is made up of hexagons between rounds. Each round begins with a brief battle between two players chosen randomly for that round or pitted against artificially intelligent adversaries. Each enemy has a chance to drop gold, units, or items that the player can employ during the rounds versus the computer-controlled foes. A combination of set damage per round and the number of still-alive units an opponent had determines the health lost while losing a round.
