The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. They are a member club of the American League (AL) West division in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The team relocated to the newly built Globe Life Field in Arlington in 2020, having previously played at Globe Life Park (now Choctaw Stadium) from 1994 to 2019. The Rangers' name pays tribute to a historic law enforcement agency.
Established in 1961 as the Washington Senators, the franchise was awarded to Washington, D.C. as an expansion team after the previous Washington Senators relocated to Minnesota and became the Twins.
In 1971, the team moved to Arlington and debuted as the Texas Rangers the following season. The Rangers have achieved notable success, with eight postseason appearances, including division championships in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016, as well as a wild card berth in 2012.

Texas Rangers 2024 Schedule
The Texas Rangers' 2024 schedule has been announced, and here are the details:
The Rangers will open the 2024 regular season at home on Thursday, March 28, at Globe Life Field. They will be hosting the Chicago Cubs in what will be their 31st home opener in 53 seasons.
This will also be the second consecutive year and the seventh time in the last nine years that the Rangers begin their season at home. The only other time they faced the Cubs on Opening Day was on March 28, 2019, resulting in a 12-4 loss in the final opener at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
After the opener, the Rangers will have a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs from March 28 to March 31 at Globe Life Field. Following that, they will hit the road for a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays from April 1 to April 3.
Returning to Arlington, the Rangers will have a seven-game homestand from April 5 to April 11. During this stretch, they will face the Houston Astros and the Oakland Athletics at Globe Life Field.
From there, the Rangers' schedule includes division games, intraleague games, and interleague games.
Division Games: The Rangers will play a total of 52 division games, with 26 at home and 26 on the road. They will face each of their American League West Division rivals, the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics, and Seattle Mariners, 13 times each.
Intraleague Games: Against the other American League teams, the Rangers will play a total of 64 games, with 32 at home and 32 on the road. They will have seven-game series against the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins.
Additionally, they will play six games against the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Kansas City Royals, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays.
Interleague Games: The Rangers will play a total of 46 interleague games, with 23 at home and 23 on the road, against the 15 National League teams. They will have four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, two games at home and two games away.
They will also play three-game series against the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Washington Nationals at home.
On the road, they will have three-game series against the Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, and St. Louis Cardinals. Notably, this will be the first time since 2016 that the Rangers have hosted the Cincinnati Reds and played at the St. Louis Cardinals.

Texas Rangers Present Uniform
The current uniform of the Texas Rangers showcases several distinct elements. The home white uniforms feature a script "Rangers" wordmark in blue with white and red trim. The letters are in blue with white trim and red drop shadows.
The team has the option to accessorize the white uniform with either blue or red elements. The road gray uniform, red alternate uniform, and blue alternate uniform remain largely unchanged, with updated letters and the addition of drop shadows.
The red alternate uniform includes a blue-brimmed red cap with a red Texas map in front of a white "TX" as an alternative to the all-red cap. Additionally, the Rangers introduced a powder blue alternate uniform with the "Rangers" script in white, royal blue trim, and red drop shadows.
