The Legend of Korra Ending Explained
In a pivotal moment, Korra and Kuvira find themselves transported into the Spirit World. It is here that Korra seizes the opportunity to engage in a heartfelt conversation with Kuvira, ultimately leading to a breakthrough. Through open dialogue and empathy, they are able to reach a mutual understanding, without resorting to any further acts of violence.
As their discussion concludes, Korra and Kuvira make their way back to the physical realm, guided by a newly created portal. Accompanying them are the spirits, symbolizing a harmonious integration between the human world and the Spirit World.
With Kuvira's official surrender and subsequent arrest, the long-lasting war finally comes to an end. The resolution paves the way for the commencement of the rebuilding process, as communities work together to restore what has been damaged and heal the wounds caused by the conflict.

"The Legend of Korra" is set in a fictional universe where certain individuals can telekinetically manipulate the four elements: water, earth, fire, and air.
