The Midnight Studio Ending Explained
The ending of The Midnight Studio shows Seo Ki-joo (played by Joo Won) returning from the netherworld after facing challenges and making a tough decision. In the last episode, he ventures into the netherworld to lift a curse and save his girlfriend, Han Bom (Kwon Nara). Along the way, he encounters dangerous spirits and must fight to protect himself and the camera that holds the key to breaking the curse.
During his journey, Seo Ki-joo meets a ghost named Im Yoon-hae, who helps him find the door back to the world of the living. Yoon-hae tells Ki-joo that he can leave the netherworld if he chooses to. Ultimately, Ki-joo decides to return to the real world, leaving the camera behind in the netherworld.
Back in the real world, Han Bom and others await Ki-joo's return anxiously. However, a year passes, and there's no sign of him. Han Bom, devastated by the loss, finds solace in the company of Ji-won and Assistant Go, who have developed a romantic relationship.
In a heartwarming twist, Ki-joo miraculously returns through the door to the world of the living, guided by Yoon-hae. He reunites with Han Bom, and they express their love for each other. The series concludes with a touching moment as they take a final picture together with their friends before Ki-joo narrates how he can't return to the midnight studio anymore, embracing his human life with Han Bom.
