The Sims 4
The Sims 4 is a social simulation game that you can play for free. Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, it's the fourth major game in The Sims series. Released in 2014 for Windows, it later came to OS X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. As of October 18, 2022, the game adopted a free-to-play model with paid downloadable content packs available.
Like its predecessors, The Sims 4 lets you create and dress characters called "Sims," build houses, and simulate their lives. The game features a new custom engine, better character and house tools, and an improved simulation with emotions and personalities for Sims.
Initially planned as an online multiplayer game, it shifted to a single-player experience after the negative launch of Maxis' SimCity in 2013. The Sims 4 faced criticism for missing features and received mixed reviews.
Despite this, it has been commercially successful, becoming the most popular game in the franchise with over 70 million players worldwide as of 2023. The game is continually supported with paid downloadable content packs and free updates introducing new features. The Sims 4: For Rent, the latest expansion pack, was released on December 7, 2023. Additionally, a new mainline The Sims title, codenamed "Project Rene," is currently in development.

The Sims 4 Gameplay
The Sims 4 is a simulation game where you guide virtual people called "Sims" through their lives. Unlike games with specific goals, here you make choices in an interactive world. You look after your Sims' needs like hunger, hygiene, and socializing. Sims use Simoleons (game currency) and speak Simlish, a fictional language.
They have jobs, earn money, and develop skills. The game offers optional objectives based on Sims' aspirations and personal goals. There are cheats and downloadable content (DLC) packs for added features, objects, and gameplay options. The game supports mods for customization, including changes to gameplay or cosmetic items like hairstyles and furniture.
