Deborah Logan is an elderly woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and lives with her daughter, Sarah. A team of students, including Mia Medina, Gavin, and Luis, decides to make a documentary about Deborah's daily life. Cameraman Luis expresses concern that something supernatural is happening to Deborah.
During their filming, Gavin and Luis record Deborah speaking in French about sacrifices and snakes, and the phone line for 337 continually rings on her switchboard. The number belonged to local physician Henri Desjardins, who disappeared after a series of ritualized cannibalistic murders of four young girls.
