Arthur presents Derfel with a betrothal gift, a part of their tradition to offer to the bride-to-be before the wedding. Meanwhile, Gorfydd decides to arrange a marriage for Guinevere, making her Ceinwyn's lady-in-waiting after the wedding.
This arrangement is intended to secure a foothold in Dumnonia and fulfill his oath to Guinevere's father. Ceinwyn and Arthur are ultimately married. After the ceremony, Arthur comes face to face with Guinevere, realizing her true identity. Ceinwyn introduces Guinevere warmly.

In episode 6 of The Winter King, the story picks up right where the last episode left off. Arthur is grieving the loss of his friend Owain.
