Who is Tiny Harris?

Tameka Dianne Cottle-Harris, professionally known as Tiny, is an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the multi-platinum R&B vocal group Xscape. 

Tiny was born on July 14, 1975, in College Park, Georgia. She began singing at a young age and was discovered by Xscape producer Jermaine Dupri in the early 1990s. She joined the group in 1992 and quickly became a fan favorite with her powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence.

Xscape released their debut album, Hummin' Comin' at Cha, in 1993. The album was a commercial success, selling over three million copies and spawning the hit singles "Just Kick It" and "Things I Do for You." The group went on to release three more albums, Off the Chain (1995), Traces of My Lipstick (1998), and Xscape (2000), all of which were commercially successful.

In addition to her work with Xscape, Tiny has also written and produced songs for other artists, including Monica, Usher, and TLC. She won a Grammy Award for her writing contributions on the TLC hit "No Scrubs."

Tiny has also been a successful solo artist. She released her debut solo album, The Real Me, in 2001. The album was a moderate success, spawning the hit single "What the Hell."
