Dominic encourages Gar to take on his role as the protector of the Red, but Gar refuses, feeling responsible for protecting his friends and loved ones.
In a powerful moment, Gar travels back in time to his childhood memory at the zoo, comforting his younger self and realizing the interconnectedness of all life. He harnesses the power of the Red to access different multiverses, glimpsing alternate universes featuring other superheroes and even an animated version of himself as Beast Boy from "Teen Titans Go!"
Eventually, Gar falls back into the Doom Manor, where he is found unconscious by Cyborg. Although it's unclear if he's in the right universe, it's clear that Gar has embraced his role as a protector and champion of the Red.
