Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload is a video game made by Atlus. It's like a new version of another game called Persona 3 from 2006. This new version came out on February 2, 2024, and you can play it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

In this game, you play as a high school student who comes back to his home city ten years after his parents died in a car crash. The main character can summon something called a Persona, which is like a manifestation of his inner spirit. He joins a group called the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.) with other people who can do the same thing. Together, they have to fight Shadows and solve the mystery of the Dark Hour.

Fans of the Persona series really wanted a remake of Persona 3, especially after the success of Persona 5. Atlus, the game developers, officially said they heard the fans and started working on Reload in 2019. They announced the game in June 2023, after first talking about it in April 2023.

Reload keeps the original Persona 3 story but makes it look and work better. The characters got new designs by Azusa Shimada, and Shigenori Soejima made sure everything looked good. Atsushi Kitajoh made new music for the game, and Azumi Takahashi and Lotus Juice sang some of the songs. The game aims to match the quality of the later games in the Persona series.

Tome of Atrophy and Deviant Convict Boss Guide

In the challenging world of Persona 3 Reload, the Deviant Convict boss fight on floor 90 poses a formidable threat. Accompanied by the Tome of Atrophy, this encounter demands strategic gameplay to overcome its powerful attacks.

Understanding Weaknesses and Resistances

The Deviant Convict itself has no specific weaknesses or resistances, presenting a neutral challenge. However, the Tome of Atrophy is susceptible to fire but resistant to electric attacks. Knowing these nuances can significantly impact your approach.

Team Composition Matters

To tackle this formidable duo, assembling a balanced team is crucial. Yukari, Junpei, and Aigis are recommended for their diverse skills. The flow of the battle involves the Convict charging a devastating attack, requiring careful planning and execution from your team.

Deciphering the Battle Flow

The fight unfolds with the Deviant Convict initiating a charging phase. During this time, both the Convict and the Tome of Atrophy focus on buffing and debuffing. Your team's objective is to maximize damage output while countering the Convict's buffs and mitigating its impending powerful strike, Herculean Strike.

Strategic Moves for Victory

Yukari's Sukunda lowers the Convict's evasion, while Junpei uses Agilao to incapacitate the Tome of Atrophy. Aigis plays a crucial role in maintaining team defense and dispelling debuffs with Dekunda. Coordination is key to dealing damage efficiently while preventing the Convict from unleashing Herculean Strike.

Guarding Against Herculean Strike

Once the Convict's charging is complete, activating Guard for all party members is vital. While this won't eliminate all damage, it significantly reduces the impact of Herculean Strike. Following the devastating attack, utilize a recovery round with healing spells to get back in fighting shape.

Focus on the Tome of Atrophy

A proactive strategy involves early elimination of the Tome of Atrophy. Doing so prevents the Convict from enhancing its stats and debuffing your team actively. If the battle becomes overwhelming, prioritize defeating the Tome of Atrophy before resuming your standard attack pattern.

Optimizing Theurgy Meters

Keep an eye on Theurgy Meters and deploy them strategically to expedite the Convict's defeat. Carve through its health bar efficiently when the meters are charged, shortening the overall duration of the battle.

Consistent Debuffing for Success

Maintain a cyclic approach, frequently debuffing the Convict while staying vigilant for opportunities to attack. With persistence and a well-coordinated strategy, the Deviant Convict will eventually succumb, securing your victory in this challenging encounter.

How to Defeat Tome of Atrophy and Deviant Convict in Persona 3 Reload?

To defeat Tome of Atrophy in Persona 3 Reload, head to the 90th floor of Tartarus in the Yabbashah block. Make sure your party is at least level 31, and your Personas match that level. Tome of Atrophy is weak against Agi spells, so use fire attacks to exploit its vulnerability. Before the battle, use Fuuka's Sylphid Aura.

Focus on defeating Tome of Atrophy first, as it's weak against fire and can debuff your party. Apply Rakunda to reduce its defense and use Theurgy skills to defeat it quickly. Be prepared for Deviant Convict's Herculean Strike, and use Dekunda Gems or skills to remove party-wide debuffs.

To defeat Deviant Convict, also on the 90th floor, use Fuuka's Sylphid Aura before the battle. Take on Deviant Convict after defeating Tome of Atrophy. Debuff it with Tarunda to weaken its attacks before it can charge up Herculean Strike, which can deal heavy damage to your party. Since Deviant Convict has no weaknesses, equip Personas with Crit Rate Boost and Rebellion to counter its Herculean Strike.
