Valorant 8.01 Patch Notes
Valorant has just dropped Patch 8.01, and it brings a bunch of changes to the game. Riot Games has shared the patch notes, highlighting updates to various Agents, map adjustments, system tweaks, bug fixes, and more.
One significant change in Patch 8.01 is focused on Skye, an Agent who dominated Valorant matches in late 2023. Skye is receiving a major nerf, specifically to her Guiding Light ability.
Now, Guiding Light won't recharge during a round, limiting its uses. Additionally, the flash from this ability will auto-detonate at the end of its lifetime, preventing those tricky fake flashes Skye used to pull off.
To balance things, Riot is bringing back yellow arrow markers when you're targeted by Skye's Seekers. These markers indicate the direction from which the Seekers are approaching, providing players with valuable information. These changes aim to adjust Skye's impact on the game and create a more balanced playing field.
