Vampire Survivors is a game made by Luca Galante, who's also known as Poncle. It's a video game where you control a character fighting against lots of monsters. The aim is to stay alive as long as you can and get new characters, weapons, and things to help you in the game.
Even though it's called 'Vampire Survivors,' the monsters aren't actually vampires. The game came out in late 2022 for computers, Xbox, phones, and other platforms. Later, it also came out for the Nintendo Switch in August 2023.
People liked the game a lot and it got awards at different events like the Golden Joystick Awards, New York Game Awards, and D.I.C.E. Awards. It was nominated for five awards at the British Academy Games Awards and won in two categories: Game Design and Best Game.

Vampire Survivors Gameplay
In the game, you pick a character and fight on a never-ending stage with changing layouts. Your weapons attack automatically, and you've got to stay alive against lots of monsters. Defeating them and exploring gets you experience gems to level up, health-reviving "floor chicken," and other useful stuff.
Each level-up gives you new weapons and abilities. Once you've maxed out everything, extra levels just give you coins or more floor chicken. You can also upgrade by opening chests dropped by tough monsters. The game lasts around 15, 20, or 30 minutes depending on the stage, and when time's up, a super-strong enemy called Death shows up. If you survive that, you get bonus coins. You can use these coins to unlock new characters and powers between sessions. Completing challenges also gets you new stages, weapons, and characters.

Vampire Survivors Plot
In Vampire Survivors, you're in rural Italy dealing with a big monster mess. This guy named Bisconte Draculó brought these monsters, wrecking everything in 2021. Now, the Belpaese family and other brave survivors team up to stop Draculó. Their mission? Hunt down Draculó and beat him.
To do this, they go through scary places like cursed forests, spooky libraries, old dairy factories, creepy towers, and weird chapels. You control one of these heroes, fighting tons of monsters with your weapons, trying to stay alive as long as possible.
The longer you survive, the more stuff you collect—like experience gems to level up, health-boosting "floor chicken," and other helpful things. As you level up, you can choose new weapons and upgrades. Plus, there's a time limit in each stage, and when time's up, a super-strong enemy named Death appears. Survive that and get bonus coins to unlock more cool stuff between sessions.
