Imelda Belpaese is an unlocked character at the start of the game, equipped with a Magic Wand weapon ideal for getting used to auto-firing. Paired with other weapons like the Knife and King Bible, it targets the nearest enemy for effortless combat.
Imelda's passive ability provides a 10% buff to experience earned every five levels, which increases up to 30% at level 15. This allows faster leveling and stronger weapons. With a purchase price of only ten gold, she is an excellent choice for new players looking to level up quickly.
Poe Ratcho
Poe Ratcho may not seem like a fun character to play as, with his low health and garlic weapon, but he's worth a shot. His garlic weapon deals area-of-effect damage and is perfect for taking out Dust Elementals in the Inlaid Library. To unlock Poe, you need to collect five Ground Chickens and level up the Garlic weapon to level 7.
He's an excellent choice for a first playthrough and can be easily obtained with the spell "strongestcharacter" if you missed unlocking him earlier. Give Poe a chance and see how fun it can be to play as a hunched old man with a head of garlic as a weapon.
Krochi Freeto
Krochi Freeto is the perfect choice for players who want an extra chance to finish their run. He starts with one revive and gains another at level 33. Additionally, Krochi is the second fastest character, making it easier to dodge enemy attacks.His Cross weapon is great for dealing damage to multiple enemies.
It flies towards the closest enemy before returning, damaging all enemies in its path. To unlock Krochi, players need to kill 100,000 enemies or use the "accidenti" spell in the Secret menu. Don't hesitate to try out Krochi and get that extra chance to complete your run.
Sir Ambrojoe
Sir Ambrojoe may seem like a joke character with his Kinder Surprise Egg weapon and top hat, but don't be fooled. With the right weapons, he can be a powerhouse. His starting weapon, La Robba, rains furniture down on enemies across the screen, and his passive ability increases the number of projectiles fired by a weapon.
This means that not only are there more bookshelves and pianos falling on enemies, but also more bibles, fireballs, and axes.You can unlock Sir Ambrojoe by killing 6,000 Stage Killer mobs in the Cappella Magna stage or by casting the "languorino" spell in the Secret menu.
Red Death
Red Death is an insanely powerful character in Vampire Survivors, boasting the highest movement speed, starting with a whopping 255 health (compared to the base value of 100), and dealing an extra 20% damage. Its starting weapon, the Death Spiral, is an evolved form of the Axe that spirals out from the character, hitting and damaging enemies along the way.
To unlock Red Death, players must defeat Death, the run-killer, or use the spell "ablasphemousmockery" to obtain it early. While taking down Death might be challenging, the reward of playing as Red Death is undoubtedly worth it.
Peppino
Peppino, a playable character in Vampire Survivors, may be the slowest character in the game, but he offers a unique challenge for players. As a tree, he has a base movement speed of -100%, making his movement nearly non-existent unless speed bonuses are unlocked.

Queen Sigma
